for this assignment we had to create a drawing on paper and scan it digitally and color it.
this was the result of my project

Warhol-esque Digital Painting

this project was pretty simple. All we had to do was use a stamp in various to mimc the very very famous pop art of andy worhal which was art work of a simple image over and over it different colors and hues. So after searching I picked an image of my favorite youtuber's (jenna marbles) dog (kermit):

and after using several stamps i ended up with this image:

Georgia O'Keeffe-Inspired Digital Painting

for this project we were to try to create a recreation of georgia O'keeffe's style in painting. Gerogia O'Keefe is known for her paintings of close up flowers like this one:

so i picked an image of a nice, pretty blue flower and added a second layer where i selected colors off of the flower it self and lowered the opacity. After a couple of attempts i was happy with my results and ended up with this:

Digital Post-Impressionist Portrait

this project was almost exactly the same as the digital post impressionist project but its not landscape its a persons face. So i decided to use a funny photo of my friend from my old school, Christine.

and i used several different brushes to try to match the original image but adding my own twist. Ending up with this.

Digital Post-Impressionist Landscape

for this project we were to pick a landscape image and use various brushes to recreate the image ourselves. so i ended up picking this image:
after going in photo shop i used a separate layer and used various colors and brushes trying to match the original photo. and i ended up with this result.

painting of choice sketchbook pro

For this project we got to draw anything we wanted onto sketchbook pro. With such an open ended project i decided to draw a simple cartoon project. I ended up drawing a lil painting of a cartoon bob ross as seen below.

Create a new logo for a favorite brand

For this project we had to create a new logo for some of our favorite brands so i decided to do Waccom Tablets which are the tablets we use to draw on in digital art.

I looked at the original logo:

I thought that it should tie in with the brand more so i added my own ideas to the logo while still keeping it simple and black and white to get this:

Street art piece in sketchbook pro

For this assignment we had to create a drawing on a brick or wall back round so i decided to create a simple flower pattern.

i did the line art and filled it in with the opacity down on a regular brush to mimic graffity.

Artrage stencils: Rythm and movement

For this project we were to find an image and create a stencil to make a pattern. So I picked this sketch from one of my favorite artist Kohei Horikoshi.

and proceded to create a stamp and make a pattern

Rothko-esque painting in artrage

 the "Rothko-esque painting in artrage" project had us recreate a painting in the style of  Mark Rothko a painter famous for his simple block paintings.

so i went in art rage and picked sunset colours for the background and a pale pink for some blocks and smoothed it out to get this final product.

celebrity animal name

For this assignment we were to take a celebrity with an animal in their name so i decided to pick bear grylls the nature guy. I picked out this photo.
and proceeded to edit bear proportions onto his face along with things like a snout and eyes.

and with that i had BEAR gyrlls.

colored scene of choice

like the 2 previous assignments this was another coloring assignment where we took a already drawn cartoon and added 3 characters and colored it.

bird coloring book asignment

for this project we had another way of coloring. this time we had to color a cartoon book with various feathers and make a somewhat realistic image out of the cartoon.

for this assignment we took a regular kaleidoscope and colored it like a coloring book in photo shop.  we were to use various techniques like gradients and filling. after a couple of minutes this was my final result.

wheres waldo project

this project was one of my favorites because we were given so much freedom with it. We were to create a wheres waldo project by cluttering a bunch of images. after a couple of hours I'm pretty happy with my end results:

albrecht duer assignment

for the next project we were assigned to create a piece of art that mimics the work of Albrecht Duer an artist that uses really well carved stamps using various filters and patterns.

we were to choose an animal as the subject of this project so i chose my favorite amphibian ( an axolotl) for this project.

 after using the filters and the instructions provided i created this!

for this next project we were instructed to create a rhyme with our names that had a dark twist. like a dark twist to a children's book. this was to mimic the work of Edward Gorey who created these rhyming sentences that usually ended with a dead child.

because my name is Vanessa and not many scary or spooky words rhyme with my name i decided to choose dilemma because it left a lot of open room for you to imagine what would happen along with the picture which would help a bit.

celebrity coloring book page

For my sixth assignment of the year were told to create a coloring page for a celebrity. it could be anyone. so i chose one of my fav youtubers and one of my idols Jenna marbles.

I started with this image from one of the first videos that I watched from her. Called "turning myself into a disco ball"

after that i decided that instead of tracing it i would cartonify it and use black and white shading which eventually got my final product.

For the fifth assignment of the year we had to create a cartoon version of ourselves using a photo the we took in the class or recently. So i did something simple and took a photo of me in class and decided to draw from there.

This is the original photo I too in class the day before.

This is the cartoon i made out of it. I wanted to draw myself digitaly in my own style and then i aded a colorful background to even out the dark colors coming from my turtle neck and hair to get a product that I'm really proud of.
